“Hello, I miss you so much” SlimLine Card created with new Spellbinders Collections by Becca Feeken

The Fluted Classics Slimline Dies by Becca Feeken are a truly beautiful set of dies and they add such an elegant touch to the cards that I created. I wanted to keep the card designs simple to showcase the beautiful fluted edge details. I created three slimline cards … two with a horizontal design and one with a vertical design.

The first card is a pretty, feminine card with soft greens mixed with whites and a touch of gold. I started with a card base that is 9″x4 1/2″. I cut out 4 card panels and layered them on the front of the card base. The largest panel is from the K&Company Susan Winget 12×12 paper pad. The next panel was cut from a piece of gold mirrored cardstock. Then, the two smaller panels were cut using the fluted dies out of papers from the DCWV Happy Days 12×12 paper pad … a white and gold foil patterned paper and a green and white chevron paper. The lacy border along the bottom was created by fussy cutting some small doilies from another paper in the DCWV Happy Days paper pad.

I added a “Hello” sentiment to the front of the card that I created using the Sweet Sayings Notecard Sentiments Etched Dies from Sweet Serenade Notecards Collection by Becca Feeken. I have to say I am obsessed with the font from the Sweet Sayings Notecard Sentiments dies. It is such an elegant font and I think it’s a perfect match to go with the Fluted Classics Slimline dies.

I cut out three of the “Hello” diecuts from some gold mirrored cardstock using the Hello die and layered them to create a faux chipboard. The added dimension makes the sentiment look even more special. The tiny flowers were created using the Spellbinders Mini Blooms and Sprigs die set. To finish this card, I added some gems in green, pink and blue.

For the inside of my card, I stamped a greeting using the Spellbinders “Just a Note Sentiments & Tag” Clear Stamp & Die Set from Sweet Serenade Notecards Collection by Becca Feeken. I love the mix of fonts included in the sentiments in this die set and they can easily be combined to create a variety of sayings.

I combined “I miss you” and the tiny “so much” and stamped it into onto a piece of white cardstock. I used some gold washi tape to adhere the greeting to the inside of my card.

Here are some closeups.

And, here’s a full picture of the card.

I hope I’ve given you some inspiration for how you can use the dies and stamps from the new Spellbinders Fluted Classics Slimline dies by Becca Feeken to create some simple but elegant cards.
