“Happy Day” SlimLine Card created with new Spellbinders Collections by Becca Feeken
Here is another card created with the elegant Fluted Classics Slimline Dies by Becca Feeken. This time I decided to use a vertical Slimline card which I thought was perfect to showcase the sweet girl die cut from the Jen Hadfield “Along the Way” collection.
I started with a card base that is 9″x4 1/2″. I cut out 3 card panels and layered them on the front of the card base. The largest panel is from a light green cardstock which I cut out using the second largest die from the Fluted Classics Slimline Die set. The next panel was cut from a floral paper from the DCWV Happy Days 12×12 paper pad. And, the smallest panel was created using the smallest die in the set out of some light peachy pink cardstock.
This was a very quick and easy card to create. After cutting out the panels using the die set, I layered the panels on to the card base and then added a floral, a butterfly, and a 3-d sticker from several Jen Hadfield collections. I popped up the girl with some foam tape and that finishes off the outside of the card.
For the inside of my card, I created a greeting using the Spellbinders “Just a Note Sentiments & Tag” Clear Stamp & Die Set from Sweet Serenade Notecards Collection by Becca Feeken. I love the mix of fonts included in the sentiments in this die set and they can easily be combined to create a variety of sayings and I used four of the stamps included to create the greeting on the inside of my card.
I combined “Always make room for more beauty in your life”, “Just a Note to say …” and “I Love You” and the tiny “… a lot” stamping each of these into onto a piece of white cardstock. I used some gold washi tape to adhere the greeting to the inside of my card.
Here are some closeups.
And, here’s a full picture of the card.
I hope I’ve given you some inspiration for how you can use the dies from the Fluted Classics Slimline die set and the stamps from “Just a Note Sentiments & Tag” Clear Stamp & Die Set to create simple yet beautiful cards.
