Sparkle & Shine Day 3 (Liquid Applications)

Wow, the techniques in Day 3 videos are awesome and not something that I’ve seen before.  We learned how to make eyes with Nuvo drops, then how to make realistic rain drops with glossy accents, and how to create more dimension by applying many layers of glossy accents.
I just recently acquired Nuvo Crystal Drops in the March 2017 Hero Arts Monthly Card Kit.  The kit included the Blue Crystal Drops and from the moment I made my first dots, I was hooked.  So, the techniques using the Nuvo Crystal Drops were very interested.  I would never have thought of making eyes … I had a lot of fun creating eyes and I think it would be great to make a bunch of eyes in advance and then have them ready to go when making cards with creatures.

I used Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens to add color and shine to a tag that I cut out of the DCVW Paint & Create “Heart of Gold” watercolor foiled paper stack.
IMG_3459The next card that I made for Day 3 class, I created inks using 3 different colors of PearlEx.  I stamped the flower cluster and leaves from the Stampendous Fran’s Cling Stamp & Stencil Set – Build A Bouquet Set onto watercolor paper using Versa Mark ink.  I embossed the stamped images with Ranger white embossing powder and then used my new inks to paint the flowers and leaves.
