Spellbinders Butterfly Burst from the new “Paint Your World” collection by Vicky Papaioannou
Spellbinders has just released a new collection from Vicky Papaioannou called Paint Your World. All of the dies in this collection are super cute. I just love all of the paint brush dies … what a fun way to add color to your cards!
In this post, I am sharing a card that I created using the Butterfly Burst dies from the Paint Your World collection. These glimmer plates are special because the glimmers is all around the edge of the roses and leaves when you cut them out using the coordinating dies. It’s super pretty with the glimmer along the edges.
I started by cutting out all of the pieces for the paint brush. I used a woodgrain pattern paper for the brush handle and some gold mirror card for the base of the brush and the end of the handle. I cut out the brush 4 times and then assembled the paint brush by adding two of the brush pieces onto the back of the brush and the layering two more of the brush pieces on top. I added the gold pieces to the brush and I just loved how my brush turned out. How adorable is this paint brush???
To add some more sparkle to my card, I used some Smooch Spray in Gold Glow and added it to the end of the brush. I cut out the base of all the butterflies and the butterfly bodies from the gold foil and then cut out the detail butterflies using some pink, blue and lavender cardstock.
For my card base, I used a pattern paper that looks like mixed media from The Paper Studio “The Paint Shop” 12×12 Paper Pad and splattered some of the Gold Glow Smooch Spray onto the background.
For my sentiment, I used the “Life is so Lovely” gold glitter foam stickers from the Spellbinders March Card Kit. I finished this card by adding some topaz gems from Buttons Galore and painted some sparkle onto the butterflies using a Glitter pen from crapbook.com.
I hope I’ve given you some inspiration for how you can use the Butterfly Burst dies from the Paint Your World collection to create some super adorable cards. Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog.
