“Yay You” Stitched Flower Card created with the Spellbinders Stitched Flower Dies from the new “Spring into Stitching” Collection

Spellbinders has just released another new collection called Spring into Stitching which feature dies that create a guide for stitching the patterns with embroidery floss and needle. I love hand stitching on paper … it adds amazing color and texture to all of your paper crafting projects.

In this post, I am sharing a card that I created using the Stitched Flower dies from the Spring into Stitching Collection. These stitched dies are so amazing and I loved adding all of the colorful yarns to my flowers.

I started by cutting out 3 of the large flowers from some heavy 110lb cardstock using the Stiched Flower die. I also cut out some leaves using the leaf die included. I stitched around each petal on the flowers using some embroidery floss in yellow, orange and pink.

For my card base, I layered a pattern paper that looks like mixed media from The Paper Studio “The Paint Shop” 12×12 Paper Pad over one of the floral papers from the Spellbinders March Card Kit 6×6 paper pad.

For my sentiment, I used a flair button from the Yes Please Button Shop and a dimensional gold glitter sentiment banner from the Spellbinder’s January Card Kit.

To add a little gold to my layout, I placed a Fashion Gold embellishment dot to the center of each flower. Then, I scattered more of the Fashion Gold dots around the florals on my card.

I hope I’ve given you some inspiration for how you can use the new Spellbinders Stitched Flower dies from the Spring into Stitching collection to create some beautiful stitched cards. Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog.
