“Sew Happy” Spellbinders Card Kit September 2022

Thanks so much for stopping by to see the cards that I created with the new “Sew Happy” Card Kit from Spellbinders September 2022 Club. In this post, I am sharing 3 cards that I created using the September card kit. The Spellbinders Card Kits are amazing and come with so many fun supplies including paper, carstock, embellisihments, stamps and dies! And this month’s kit is super cute!

All of these cards were created using the supplies from the July Card Kit (shown below) with the addition of some sequins from previous month’s card kits.

I love all of the fun and colorful embellishments in this kit …. it’s all so super cute!

For my first card, I started with an A2 size card base and added a blue floral and a pink check pattern paper from the 6×6 paper pad. I added just a thin strip of lavender cardstock and silver mirror cardstock above and below the pink check paper.

Next, I created a fun scene on the front of the card with a rainbow sweater and flowers. The sentiment is also from the die pack. To add just a bit of sparkle to this card, I scattered some silver sequins across the card.

For my second card, I used a peach floral pattern papers and then added another paper on top (at an angle) that had sewing icons. The sentiment “Oh Happy Day” looks just like an embroidery hoop and I popped it up with some foam squares. I added a sewing machine, needle and thread and some tiny flowers. I finished off this card and added a bit more gold with some tiny gold star sequins.

For my third card, I layered a green paper with embroidered hearts and a colorful floral paper to create my card panel. I matted the sentiment with some white cardstock. The sentiment was one of the dies included in the kit and says “Smart, funny, creative and fabulous”. I added more of the dies to create a fun sewing scene with knitting needles, yarn, embroidery thread, yarn, measuring tape, fabric, and a heart shaped button. I wanted to add a bit of sparkle and shine, so I scattered some flower sequins around the card.
