Calvinball 2019 Layouts – Day 4

I had heard about Calvinball, but I’ve never participated.  Since I’m focused on scrapbooking for the month of March, I thought I would give myself even more incentive to get more layouts done in March.  For those who have never heard of Calvinball, it’s an online scrapbooking challenge.  You can join the Facebook Group where you can find more info about Calvinball and instructions for how to participate in the challenge.  It’s free to join and fun to play… expect the unexpected.
In Calvinball, you receive points for completing layouts, cards, and all your crafty projects.  You can also receive points for social media posts and bonus points for including specific things in your projects.  Here are a few of the possible points you can receive for projects … 1 point for a Single Page Layout, 2 points for a Double Page Layout, 1/2 point for either One Mini-Album Page, one card, or one tag, etc.
Then you can get points for social media posts like making 10 comments on posts in Calvinball, posting to Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook and get 1/2 point.  You can also get  a point for posting on a Blog … so WOO HOO!!!  I got one point for this post.
There are also bonus points for things like … Use a star, use an enamel dot, use bling, etc.
I created these two pages for Calvin Ball and here are pictures of my layouts and the point breakdown 🙂
Layout “Out and About” (10 pts)

  • 1 Point – Single Page Layout
  • 1 Point – Blog Post
  • 1 Point – Post on Facebook and Calvinball
  • 2 Point – Use a Star / Use Green
  • 1 Point – Use an Enamel Dot
  • 1 Point – Use Wood Veneer
  • 1 Point – Use Floral Patterned Paper
  • 1 Point – Use a Sticker
  • 1 Point – Use a Butterfly


Layout “You don’t have to be Perfect to be AMAZING” (10 pts)

  • 1 Point – Single Page Layout
  • 1 Point – Blog Post
  • 1 Point – Post on Facebook and Calvinball
  • 1 Point – Use an Enamel Dot
  • 1 Point – Use Green
  • 1 Point – Use Wood Veneer
  • 1 Point – Use Bling
  • 1 Point – Use Floral Patterned Paper
  • 1 Point – Use a Sticker
  • 1 Point – Use a Butterfly
