LOAD 5-19 Day 7 – The Sweet Life

For LOAD 519 Day 7, the LOAD prompt was to scrapbook with a circle.  I’ve been wanting to try some hand stitching on a scrapbook layout and I thought that this would be a good opportunity.  I took a lid from a kitchen bowl and went around it with a pokey tool making holes in a circle pattern.  I created two overlapping circles (this was not my original idea, I scrap-lifted this idea from Laura Alberts “Lovely Together” Scrapbook process video.
I used a chain stitch and orange and pink embroidery floss to stitch around the circles, randomly adding sequins along the way.

For my background, I used a page from the Recollections Sunset Breeze paper pad.  It was the perfect paper collection to use for this layout because the colors matched my photo so well.  I also used some pages from Sunset Breeze to mat my photos.
