“Hip Hip Hooray” Card Created with the Spellbinders May 2023 Stitching Die Club Kit

Thanks so much for stopping by to see the card project that I created with the new “Stitched Balloon Card Front” Stitched Dies from Spellbinders May 2023 Clubs. This die set creates a super cute balloon background for an A2 size card. I had a lot of fun creating the stitched balloons in a rainbow of colors.

I started with cutting out the background and balloons out of white cardstock twice so that I would have 6 of the stitched balloons to use on the card. I wanted a bit of color on the card base and decided to use a striped pattern paper from the Spellbinders May 2023 Card Kit. I cut the striped pattern paper into four 1/2″ strips and added the strips of the paper on all four sides of the Balloon card panel.

Next, I stitched the ballons with embroidery floss in a rainbow of colors (blue, green, yellow, peach, pink and purple. I used a liquid adhesive (Bearly Arts Precision Craft Glue to adhere the balloons to the card front.

For my sentiment, I used a die cut from the Spellbinders “Party Hat & Streamers” card kit that says “Hip Hip Hooray”. To finish off this card, I scattered tiny clear gems from Honey Bee Stamps around the stitched balloons.
