This Layout earned a total of 27 points. I created a layout which was one point and then received one point for using each of the following: Green, Cut Files, Enamel Dots, Three of a Kind, Die Cuts, Washi Tape, Handwriting, a Heart, Date your Layout, Wood Veneer, Flowers, a Banner, 3 Pattern Papers, finish an unfinished project, Butterfly, Fussy cutting, a Frame and a Doily. I also earned 5 additional for creating this blog, a scrapbook process video and for sharing this on social media.

I decided to finish a project, so I started with a layout that I had in my pile of unfinished projects. For this layout, I used a picture of me, my Mom and two of my sisters, that was taken in 2013 when we took my Mom to Nottoway Plantation to celebrate her 70th Birthday.

I started this layout last year and I can’t remember the paper that I used for my background, but I think it was from a DCWV paper pad. I used black cardstock and a couple of My Mind’s Eye patterned papers from The Sweetest Thing collection to mat my picture. For my title, I used a gold foiled “Celebrate” thicker and letters from the Ella Thickers to finish the title “Celebrate Mom”.

To embellish my layout, I used a cut file and my Cricut to create flowers. I added some wood veneer leaves with gold foiling to the floral clusters. I also added a gold doily, a die cut crown from K&Company, some foam stickers that looked like stamps from a pack of 3-d embellishments from FireFly, and a pink arrow that says “Love This”. To finish off this layout, I added some blue enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs.

Here are some closeups of my layout.

And, here’s a full picture of my layout.

I hope I’ve inspired you to join in with the CalvinBall 2021 challenge.
