“Butterfly Sparkle” Spellbinders Card Kit August 2022

Thanks so much for stopping by to see the cards that I created with the new “Butterfly Sparkle” Card Kit from Spellbinders August 2022 Club. In this post, I am sharing 3 cards that I created using the August card kit. The Spellbinders Card Kits are amazing and come with so many fun supplies including paper, carstock, embellisihments, stamps and dies! And this month’s kit is simply glorious!

All of these cards were created using the supplies from the August Card Kit (shown below) with the addition of some Honey Bee gems and Gina Marie Designs enamel dots.

I love all of the beautiful images in this kits … the colors are very pretty and the gold adds a touch of sparkle. The paper designs in the 6×6 paper pad are beautiful and I choose to use several of the pattern papers on each card.

For my first card, I wanted to showcase the beautiful vellum 3-d butterflies that were included in the kit. I used one of the A2 size card bases from the kit, and then added two card panels from a black and gold print and a gorgeous floral print from the 6×6 paper pad. For the sentiment, I choose one of the chipboard elements. I added two of the 3-D vellum butterflies and then to add just a bit more sparkle to this butterfly card, I added some Honey Bee tiny clear gems to each of the butterflies.

For my second card, I wanted to showcase the birdcage die cut. I picked out three of the patterned papers (a butterfly print, a pink polka dot and a dandelion print with gold foil accents) to create my card panels. I matted the pink polka dot and the dandelion print panel with black cardstock. For the sentiment, I used one of the chipboard elements that says “You are free to fly”. I added the bird cage and then popped up the bird with some of the foam squares. A few pink enamel dots add just a little sparkle and shine to this card.

For my third card, I started with a stripe patterned paper and then layered a green patterned paper and a tiny floral patterned paper at an angle on top. I used chipboard tea cup with flowers as the focal point for thi card. For the sentiment, I added one of the die cuts that says “some friendships are timeless”. I added some light green enamel dots from Gina Marie Designs to add just a bit of sparkle to finish off this card.
