Christmas in July Cards with new Spellbinders Collections

The July collections from Spellbinders are awesome and I created 3 cards using products from the “Celebrate the Seasons” and the “Stitchmas Christmas” collections. Spellbinders knocked it out of the park with these two collections …. so many amazing dies, stamps and glimmers!!!

First up is a stitched card that I created using the Stitched Joy dies from the Stitched Christmas collection. OMG!!! Isn’t this die set absolutely gorgeous. I cut out the background design using some 110lb white cardstock. The stitching was so much fun and super easy to complete. I used some embroidery floss in red and green to stitch the flowers and leaves. Then for a bit of sparkle, I used a gold glitter floss for the smaller flowers. I love the letter dies that create the word JOY … they are embossed with pin stripes and it adds such an elegant touch to the die cut letters. I cut out the letters using some gold mirror cardstock.

For my card base, I used a plaid patterned paper and then added a card panel in white cardstock. I added the stitched joy to the card (popping it up with foam tape). To finish off this card and add just a bit more sparkle, I sprinkled a few gold sequins around the card.

My second card features the “Tweet Cardinal” and the “Mix & Match Holiday Greetings” dies from the Spellbinders “Celebrate the Season” collection. The Tweet Cardinal dies make the most adorable bird. I started with a A2 size card base and then layered a plaid patterned paper and a red polka dot paper onto the card base. I cut out the sentiment “Holiday Cheer” using the Mix & Match Holiday Greetings dies from some gold mirror cardstock. I glued the sentiment onto some white cardstock and then matted the sentiment with some dark green cardstock. Once I added the sentiment to the card, I perched the cardinal on the top. To finish off this card, I sprinkled some gold sequins across the card which added a pretty sparkle.

My last card features the “More Holiday Decorations” die set. This is a slimline card that is 3 1/2″ x 8″. I added a fun patterned paper that had holiday words to the front of the card base. Next, I cut out the strings from some black cardstock and glued those across the front of the card. Then, I cut out the bulbs from foil cardstock in red, green and orange. I used some gold mirror cardstock for the ends of the bulbs, the bows and also the sentiment. The sentiment “Merry & Bright” was die cut using the “Mix & Match Holiday Greetings“. I cut the sentinment out twice from gold mirror cardstock and layered it to create a faux chipboard and to make it stand out a little more from the patterned paper. This card is so fun and bright with all of the christmas lights.

I hope I’ve given you some inspiration for how you can use the new collections from Spellbinders to create fun and beautiful holiday cards. Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog.
