Scrap Our Stash | December Saturday Cartoon Sketch Challenge | Merry & Bright
This layout was created for the Scrap Our Stash December Saturday Cartoon Sketch Challenge. If you are interested in participating in this month’s Saturday Cartoon sketch challenge head on over to the Scrap Our Stash Blog.
For this challenge, create a scrapbook layout based on the sketch, inspired by the cartoon image AND and you must include the color GOLD and a BOW on your layout. The sketch for this challenge is shown below.
I decided to use the Craft Smart Christmas-themed paper pad called “Say Freeze” that my sister, Debbie, gave me for my birthday.
I also used a red and white striped paper from Echo Park Lori Whitlock collection called “A Perfect Christmas”.
The title “Merry & Bright” comes from gold puffy stickers from the Crate Paper Merry & Bright collection.
The ornaments used in this layout are from the My Mind’s Eye Cozy Christmas Brads and the brads are from the Pebblies Cozy & Bright Brads. I had a lot of fun adding brads to this layout. I loved that the Cozy & Bright brads were accented with gold and they went so well with the gold puffy stickers.
I added a gold bow and a snowflake from the gold puffy stickers, a couple of tags with some red & white twine to the top of the layout, along with another ornament and more brads. Here are some close ups.
Here’s a full picture of my layout.
I hope I’ve inspired you to join in on this month’s challenge. For more inspiration, go over to Scrap Our Stash Blog and check out the other Design Team Member layouts for this month’s challenges.
