On Days 29-31 of Calvinball, I completed another layout which gave me one point for the layout and then I received one point for using each of the following: a star, color green, cut file, enamel dots, three of a kind, die cuts, washi tape, heart, label, pink, date your layout, wood veneer, flower, banner, 3 pattern papers, create your own background paper, tidy your space, arrow, puffy sticker, staples, bird, foil, journaling, circle, camera, stencil, acetate/clear plastic, foam tape, finish an unfinished project, digital template (Cricut), butterfly, metal, frames, bow, green/white/orange, movie, sunglasses, double mat, and Disney. I also earned 5 additional for creating this blog, a scrapbook process video and for sharing this on social media.

For this layout, I used pictures of the movie Coco and the dinner that we created from Dinnerly. I put my journaling on the 4×6 photo using Microsoft Word and then printed the photo to use on this layout.

My inspiration for this layout was a layout from Cricut Design Space from Cricut Access Family Album cartridge. I used papers from Echo Park Summer Days and Simple Stores Oh Happy Day and then lots of colorful cardstock to create all the embellishments

I used inks, a blending brush and a star stencil to create a fun rainbow background in aqua, yellow, orange and pink. I matted the background iwth black cardstock and then again with a paper from Simple Stories Oh Well Day that had plus signs in different colors on a black background.

I matted all of the pictures with white cardstock and then matted them again with black cardstock. After cutting out all of the pieces for this layout using my Cricut, I added the large piece at the top with the banner that had the title “Movie Night” and a place for the large 4×6 picture. I cut out the yellow letters for the title 3 times and then layered them to create a faux chipboard. For the smaller pictures, I layered the middle picture on top of the star border and then the other two pictures under the border.

I added the embellishments that I created using the Circut layout including the Popcorn, 3-D glasses, Film Clapper and a bunch of tickets. I also added some chipboard stars from the Fun Stampers Journey Amazing Chipboard ephemera.

I finished off this layout by adding a puffy stickers, staples, butterfly, bird, wood veneer stars and enamel dots.

Here are some closeups of my layout.

And, here’s a full picture of my layout.

I hope I’ve inspired you to join in with the CalvinBall 2021 challenge.
