3 Cards featuring the Sentiment Banner Glimmers from Spellbinders
These three cards were created using the “Sentiments Banner” glimmer plates from Spellbinders Spring into Glimmer collection. This set of glimmers was so much fun to play and I was inspired to create 3 cards using these banners in 3 different ways.
For my first card, I wanted to make a really fun and colorful birthday card and use some butterflies that i had left over from another project. The paper for my butterflies was from the Jen Hadfield Patio Party collection and so I used two gpatterned papers from the Patio Party 6×6 paper pad for this card … an aqua and gold foil hexagon pattern and a colorful floral also with gold foiling.
For my sentiment, I used the Sending Birthday Wishes glimmers from the Banner Sentinment glimmers set and some gold foil and then die cut out the banners using the coordinating dies.
I added my butterflies to the top of the card and then added some PinkFresh Studios metallic gold pearls to just give this card a little more sparkle. The gold glimmers is just so fun and I love how it plays well with the gold foiling in the papers that I choose for this card.
For my second card, I wanted to make with the glimmers sentiment “A Card Full of Sparkles”. I used the glimmers and created a card panel. I then selected a pink and gold paper from the Jen Hadfield Patio Party 6×6 paper pad and added that as the top card layer. I popped up the glimmer sentiment ono foam tape and added it to the front of the card. I wanted the sentiment to be the focal point and so added it to the center and then just added a few embellishments … with some fussy cut butterflies from the same butterfly paper and some flower centers that were die cut out of gold mirror card using the Cinch and Go Blossoms die set.
I then added some tiny clear gems from Honey Bee stamps and some larger clear gems that I had in my stash to the center of each of the flower centers. This is a really fun card that really showcases the glimmers.
For my last card, I wanted to add some texture and so I took the 4×5 1/4″ white cardstock panel and embossed it with the Spelllbinder embossing folder. Next, I added the 3 1/2″x4 3/4″ polka dot paper. I used the glimmer plates from the Sentiment Banners glimmers set and created the sentiment. I wanted to add more dimension to my card and I popped up the sentiment banners with some foam tape and then layered them on top of the card. To finish this card, I cut out three of the flower centers from the Spellbinders Cinch & Go Blossomes die set and then added a PinkFresh Studio gold metallic pearl to the center of each one.
I hope I’ve given you some inspiration for how you can use the Spellbinders Sentiment Banner Glimmers to create some beautiful foiled cards. Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my blog. I hope you join me in next time for more cards created with the awesome kits from Spellbinders.
