Spellbinders March 2022 Clubs Blog Hop & Giveaway

Hi everyone, I’m Karen Yagel … welcome to my Blog! I’m super excited to be a part of the Spellbinders March 2022 Clubs Blog Hop. Spellbinders is celebrating all the Club Kits in the shop for March 2022 with a fun & inspirational Blog Hop & Giveaway.

For today’s hop, I am showcasing the dies from the Spellbinders Card Kit of the Month which is called “Have a Springy Day”. The die set included with this card kit is super adorable and it was a blast creating cards using the dies (shown below).

The projects that I am sharing today are two cards — one features the adorable bunny and the other features the sweet little lamb.

For the bunny card, I cut out all of the pieces for the bunny from white cardstock and I also cut out the bow and flower from some purple and pink cardstock and the nose and cheeks using a light and pink cardstock. For the eyes, I colored the tiny bits of paper with a dark gray copic marker. I then used my Marvy Jewel Picker and some Bearly Art liquid glue to paper piece the bunny together. Isn’t this little bunny just adorable???

I created my base card layer with a pretty green and lavender floral patterned paper from the 6×6 paper pad included in the card kit. I decided to use an oval shape behind the bunny and I wanted to do a little mixed media and so I used some Copic X Press Blending Card and distress inks in Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers with a blending brush to create a blended background and then I splattered a little gold ink spray over the top.

Next, I used the largest oval from the Spellbinders Picot Petite Ovals die set to cut out the decorative oval shape from my mixed media paper. I added the bunny onto the oval and then added my sentiment “Sweet One” using some of the glitter gold foam stickers in the card kit.

To finish of my card and to add just a bit more sparkle, I added one of the glitter foam hearts to the bunny’s bow and then scattered some of the Fashion Gold Embellishments from Fun Stamper’s Journey around the card.

My second card features the sweet little lamb. I cut out all of the pieces for the lamb from white cardstock and I also cut out the bow and flower from some purple and yellow cardstock. For the nose and cheeks, I used white cardstock and colored it pink using a copic marker. I put the lamb together using my Marvy Jewel Picker and some Bearly Art liquid glue .

I created my first card layer with one of the gorgous floral patterned papers from the 6×6 paper pad included in the card kit. This card is a 5×5 square card and I decided to use a circle to showcase my lamb. I cut a circle from some hammered ivory cardstock using the largest circle from the Spellbinders Hemstitch Circles Dies from the Romancing the Swirl Collection by Becca Feeken.

I added my lamb onto the circle and then added my sentiment “You are my Sunshine” using some of the glitter gold foam stickers around the circle. To finish of my card and to add just a bit more sparkle, I added one of the Fashion Gold Embellishments from Fun Stamper’s Journey to the center of the bow and then a smaller one to the center of the flower on the lamb’s head.

I hope that the cards that I created for this blog hop inspire you to create some Spring cards! Be sure to check back on my blog soon for even more inspiration using the “Have a Springy Day” Card Kit.
