“Koala Smiles” Spellbinders Card Kit May 2022
Thanks so much for stopping by to see the cards that I created with the new “Koala Smiles” Card Kit from Spellbinders May 2022 Club. In this post, I am sharing 3 cards that I created using the May card kit. The Spellbinders Card Kits are amazing and come with so many fun supplies including paper, carstock, embellisihments, stamps and dies!
All of these cards were created using the supplies from the May Card Kit (shown below) with the addition of a few embellishments and cardstock from Past kits and a few sequins from my stash.
I was inspired by the Koala die set that was included in this month’s card kit. I cut out all the pieces using cardstock from the kit and then assembled the Koala and tree branch. I used several patterned papers from the 6×6 paper pad to create the card base. For my sentiment, I cut out the “Hang in there” using the dies from the kit from some gold mirror card. The bottom of the card just needed a bit more, so I used the branch die cut from the Spellbinders Layered Cherry Blossoms die set and a few more of the leaves to create a smaller branch. To finish off this card and add a bit of sparkle, I added some stickles along the edge of one of the card panels.
For my second card, I created several card panels from a floral patterned paper and a notebook patterned paper and then layered them on a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base. I layered flowers and leaves from the die cuts included in the kit to create a floral arrangement. I then added a butterfly and a Koala bear! How stinkin’ cute is that Koala? For the sentiment, I used a chipboard piece from the card kit. To finish off this card, i added 3 of the puffy gold hearts from the puffy stickers.
For my third card, I started with several patterned papers a floral and two lavender patterns. I layered the papers on to a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ card base. I added a large floral and the chipboard letters that spelled out LOVE YOU. I then added the die cut that said “with all my heart” to complete the sentiment. To add a little sparkle to this card, I added some gold stickles to the edge of the purple text patterned paper.
