Merry & Bright Christmas

I used all of the greetings from the October Hero Arts Monthly Stamp Set and mounted them on an acrylic block.  I put some gold paint onto the stamps and stamped it several times on to some ivory card stock to create a background.

I then stamped over the background using some Hero Arts black ink.  Next, I used some distress inks (Mowed Lawn, Gathered Twigs and Festive Berries) and a water brush to color in the Christmas tree and the banner.  The acrylic paint is used as a resist and the paint will bleed through the inked images added to the background.

I added a sentiment to the banner and embossed it using gold embossing powder.  To add more gold to the card and to match the sentiment, I used Versa Mark ink along the card base and then embossed with gold embossing powder also.

Final touches for this card was to cut out a star from some gold mirror card and add it to the top of the tree and then to add some Christmas ornaments to the tree using Nuvo Crystal Drops.
